Welcome to Rising Joy

You Are Enough

You're Standing at a Crossroads. So Have I.

Maybe you're here because something ended — a marriage, a career, the daily rhythm of raising kids who've now grown and gone. Maybe nothing dramatic happened at all; you just woke up one day and realized the life you built no longer quite fits the woman living it.

I'm Beverly. I've stood exactly where you're standing — more than once. I've faced the loss of a spouse, the evolution of my family, and the end of a career that once told me who I was. I know the quiet of a life you have to rebuild from the inside out.

Here's something that took me a long time to understand, and that I want to offer you early, because it changed everything about how I see this chapter: falling apart is not the opposite of growth. Sometimes it's the mechanism of it.

The unraveling — the identity that stops fitting, the plans that stop making sense, the version of you that quietly stops being enough — isn't a sign that something has gone wrong. It can be a sign that something truer is trying to take shape, and it needed the old structure to give way first. That reframe doesn't erase the pain of it. But it changes what the pain means. You're not falling apart instead of growing. For a lot of us, this is what growing actually looks like from the inside.

This isn't a space for hollow affirmations or a pep talk to get you through the day. What I share here is rooted in real thinking about how people grow through disruption — I just talk about it like a woman who's lived it, not a textbook. Through the blog and the courses, I'll go deeper into where these ideas come from, including how they show up in places you wouldn't expect — even in how organizations and careers break down and rebuild. My own career ending taught me that the same pattern that reshapes a person can reshape a company, a system, an identity. Disintegration, it turns out, is rarely personal failure. It's usually just what precedes something more whole.

What You’ll Find Here

And as this grows, I'll be building out real tools — ways to go deeper than a blog post can, for the women who want more than encouragement and are ready to work through their own reinvention. More on that as it comes together.

What I wish for us all is this becomes a community too — a place for the women reading and listening here to connect with one another, not just with me. If that's something you'd want to be part of, I'd love to have you.

Come As You Are

There's no timeline here, and no "right" way to reinvent yourself. Whatever crossroads brought you here — grief, an ending, a quiet dissatisfaction you can't quite name — you're welcome exactly as you are, exactly where you are, even in pieces.

Stay a while. Read something. Listen to something. And when you're ready, let's rise together.

Let’s Connect.
